Leith Library Celebrates 80 Years

Leith Library has celebrated eighty years of service to the community. It first opened on the 20th of July nineteen thirty two, to fulfill a promise made by the City Council when the burgh was amalgamated into Edinburgh. However, a lot has changed over the years, and the library now houses a number of new services including a Registrar’s Office, a Neighbourhood Office for Council enquiries and a Civil Ceremony Wedding Suite.
